yeah dont forget about this stuff guys!  this one looks good.  love that silver frame and am very curious to see how the clear parts build shapes up.  i can understand dialing back the frame details.  gotta choose your battles or it could go on forever.  nice work on the clear parts though.

just dont create so much work for yourself that it becomes intimidating!  good luck gents!

I've just been thinking about this last night as I was drifting off to sleep. I have to get back on to this build. Last week we had an unusually chilly cold snap and I started to worry about getting paint related things done.

looking forward seeing you finish your WIPs guys ;D  You should meetup up and take pics together when you're all done ;D

I've got a backlog PG 00 raiser here but I'm still afraid to build it since I heard that it's hard pulling out some of the exterior armor once you snapbuild it into place.  Anybody can shed some light on this said parts?

DUN DUN DUN!! Lets get this rolling again shall we!

For those of you just dropping in I'm doing metallic trans-am colours for the armour and im doing the frame a metallic green with metallic blue dry brushing to simulate gn particles.

Im working on the 00 and the raiser separately for this. I havn't done anything to the raiser other than give the white parts a coat of gloss black.
For the gundam itself I have scribed panel lines and added koto parts to detail it up. I've also been working on a mechanism to improve the articulation of the gn drives but not posting anything on that till I finalize a couple more things for it.

Without further adeu, here are the pictures! Note, scribed panel lines and koto parts are in red and green respectively. Sadly I have a ishty camera so they will be blurry. Sorry :(

I've also modified the yellow v-fin so that it angles over the head rather than pointing straight up

I've still got a lot of sanding to do but I've pretty much finished the extra detailing. The only thing left aside from that is the Gn drive articulation. Any comments/critiques are welcome.

@GarretMasterson
The red gem on the forehead is really really annoying to try and remove once the whole head has been assembled. There are places where the armour is difficult to remove but if you snip the connecting rods as you assemble, which you really should there are no real problems. Don't be afraid my friend!  8)

The kit looks great!

My biggest complaint is that you didn't white-balance the camera, which is why it's looking that fugly orange color. Yes, you can fix this in Photoshop, but it's better to do in-camera.

I've got my hardhat with the lamp on the front and a cage full of canaries, so let's go threadmining!

I just sold my 00 Raiser after 2 years of inactivity. Maaaaaybe it will turn up in here again?

This was always doomed to failure because you wouldn't have been able to paint the clear parts in your favourite colour, primer grey  :P

Hi everyone...this sure is one lonely thread eh??

I've made some basic progress on the build since I last posted. The biggest difference is that I've decided to build a thruster cover for the back of the legs.
