So, I received 4 packages today. One was behind my screen door (that's ok), one was actually in my letterbox (well done), one had about 80% of the package hanging outside of my letter box (wtf?  >:() and the last one was waiting for me at the post office  ::) While I was there I told them about the one that was begging to be stolen with about $50 worth of stuff inside. They said it must've been delivered by the other post office in the next suburb over......yep.

Various bits like reverse tweezers and a fine brush. The 3 Star Destroyers were cheap so I thought I might gift a couple of them to mates who love Star Wars but don't have much experience building model kits.

And a book!.....because it's time I started having a go at weathering.

Good to see you are going to have a go at weathering. One thing to be wary of is don't get sucked in with that AMMO of MIG stuff. The things you use for weathering a mech are exactly the same things you use for weathering anything else. If you have a look at the stuff he markets for mechs it's the same as the other stuff that's marketed for tanks or aircraft. MIG is a sales machine and nothing else. Most of his stuff is just bottled or boxed for him by the company that makes it and you can get it from the original manufacturer usually a lot cheaper.

As far as the post goes, unfortunately it's just another story to add to the CGAF files that Auspost keeps. It's one of the reasons why I have a PO box. The small one is dirt cheap and nothing gets left out, stolen or wet.

Wow, I totally forgot that Bandai is still making star wars kits :( Are those star destroyers the same size as their mecha collection yamato kit?

@Gunny - Yeah I know what you mean. That little 3 pack just happened to contain what I was looking for: something to use as a filter, something to use for streaks and some muddy pigment to fill a gap in the Tamiya stuff I've already acquired  ;)

@c4cloud - I just looked up these Yamato kits your referring to and yep, they look to be very similar. The box is exactly the same size at least  ;D But yeah, same kind of product line it seems. The Star Destroyer is number 001 and they've done a couple of X-Wing variants as 002 and 003, but that's it so far.

They've released quite a few ships in 1/48, 1/72 & 1/144 scales, plus a bunch of 1/12 characters since the ban. I'm trying to be very selective with them though, as they're naturaly going to be overpriced now. Up next is the TIE Interceptor. It's my favourite TIE design so I'm not going to be able to resist that one  ^-^

They are 1/35 scale. So very small and at time extremely fiddly. Detail is extreme which at that size is sometimes not needed.
