She actually picked it herself from Hobbyco in Sydney. Paid with 'her own money' (well, at least half of it!). She was eyeing off one of the mega sized Zakus but I convinced her it may be a bit hard for her and to pick something smaller! (she picked it up and started to walk out with it but it was too heavy!)
edit..changed city to Sydney....shouldnt be so NSW centric!

Hey, congratulations on that!!! IMG_1402 by Tristan Forsyth, on Flickr Yes, she is a gundam nerd...she (sort of) made and insisted on wearing the mask so she could be a 'gundam man' (her take on the original themesong and her first show and tell for school was the gundam she got from SMASH!! See video of theme song to see what I mean

You should try it out in the country where men are men and sheep run scared. I was selling a few car parts at a local country swap meet last year and decided to take along some models kits as well. About half way through the day this kid of about 12 - 13 came up and nearly wet his pants. He thought he was the only person this side of the Murray River that even knew about Gundam. He brought a kit then about an hour later he came back with his sister and brought another then all afternoon he kept coming back with other people showing them that Gundam did really exist. In the end I ended up doing a deal with him (not for his sister ) and sold him all I had for around $30, so he ended up with about $150 worth of kits for about $50 and suddenly a lot more yokels knew about Gundam.
