Nu Gundam Proportions
« on: December 28, 2010, 01:29:21 AM »

So I've been thinking of buying a MG Nu Gundam in the future, but the proportions are quite odd. The head looks too big for the rest of the body, and I intend on fixing that. If I were to modify the kit, would this be correct:

>Lengthen lower torso
>Lengthen thighs
>Lengthen ankles (is this even possible?)
>Lengthen neck
>Widen shoulders

Or is there ANY 1/100 kit that has a head that looks like the Nu's?
Or would the Hi-Nu's head fit nicely on the Nu?

P.S. It's a pretty ambitious project. Dunno if this'll work but hey, you never know.

I love the proportions of the Nu so my vote is to leave it as is. The legs are already super long so I don't know why you would lengthen them any further. There are a few great conversion kits around as well.

I would LOVE resin kits, but I don't have enough money, skill and experience (oh the irony) to tackle them. So unless there are resin kits of 1/100 gundam heads, resin is out.

I know of a face off the top of my head. I've seen heads somewhere before. Someone that registered when I was checking out their site from memory. Don't ask me what it was though, can't remember. Maybe they will post something..

@Sonar:
Thanks for the link. I was looking for that.

I must have been looking at far too many Seed kits...

the point of topic does have merit

I myself had somewhat similar experience with 1/100 GM Spartan conversion kit
As I wasn't too keen on the whole conversion I ended up going hard route and fabricate a lot of conversion pieces from existing MG kit parts - and at the end still didn't like ;(

basically I was trying to make the ako conversion into reckless GM Spartan profile... OTL

Speaking of Ako...

That is damn lovely. It gave me a rough idea on how to tackle this thing.
