what treatment have you giving the tank tracks they dont look that cool out of the box

mine got "alittle" battle damage to the tracks on the weekend ... stupid attempt at a Tiger paint Scheme and weathering ... i'll have to repair the tracks somehow or buy a second kit ...

Tamiya XF56 all over. XF85 for the pads. AK track wash all over (liberal coating). Once dry rub it into tracks and remove excess. Apply various rubs of the pigments with a stiff brush and brush away excess. What ever you do DO NOT apply clear over it as that kills the effect.

I'm not completely sold on the Tamiya XF56, I reckon it's a bit too silvery. I tried something different but will revert back to my trusty old XF10 Gunmetal which a lot darker.

I dont think i will be at this years QHME but if i'm going to send gunny one kit to enter for me it might as well be this one right haha, better get started
