that is interesting they havent called them MG's they (or at least that one) seem to have RG style frames too wouldnt be surprised to see them called 1/100 RGs

Because design and release a NG is easier than making a MG.
They can do it faster and release near start of the show. That equal $_____$

They haven't released an NG kit since Jan 2010 so why start now? Those kits in the pic are way more complicated than any NG.

It seems like they going to the extreme limit of what Gundams would look like if it was truly built around the internal movable frame/skeleton then slapped armor over critical parts

The new 1/100 Barbato is kind of growing on me and would look great in black,the frame looks nice and the waist and shoulder Pistons look great,if they move I'm sold.
