What scares me is that this thing doesn't even have back-mounted weapons on it yet. I'm guessing this'll be easily AU$300-400 or equivalent? Nice, but will burn a hole in your pocket.

Gunny, this is the same one shown in the Armored Core V Trailer video, right?

15000Y so by the time postage is added it will probably top out at around $200  :-\

No idea about the video, I've never seen any.

Was an instant preorder for me. Showed it to Hemish and Epi at Supernova. I've been wanting a design similar to the Hildolfr which is very hard to find now. The beefiness is even better although I'm not a big fan of the thrusters so I'm going to see if I can stick more weapons/armour instead.

Quite expensive honestly for the size. List price is 18800. For a model kit that is 22cm long. One of it's selling points is the compatibility with other AC releases which should be interesting to kitbash. Got a ton of spare A/C parts and Weapon Sets lying around.

It was the tank dropped in the opening scene of ACV. Not that I've ever played the games.

im not the biggest "guntank" fan but the design of the tank part here and the over the top armoured core mechs and weaponry really sell it, not sure it $200 sells it, especially since the the death stinger will likely hit about then too, im keen to see a gunny take on this though

Price is a bit steep but like all Armored Core stuff it usually only gets released once, maybe twice and I wouldn't like to has a guess as to what it will end up on evilbay for in the future.

Depends on how it sells to be honest. Last couple of A/C kits usually end up on sale for 50% off a few months after release due to poor sales. This one should sell well because of the niche it fills but it might not due to the steep price.

O_O God, that's actually less than what I paid for my Armored Core Aaliyah kit (Which I still haven't built)

Yeah, it's theMatsukaze all right. The scene where the mech's helidropped into the street and enemy infantry totally ish themselves and run as the mech rolls over TANKS.

Pretty spectacular but why did you have to show me that? Damn it now I'll be scouring the place looking for all those other beasties that were in the clip.

You get the Aaliyah at a convention or something?

Yes. Manifest 2009.

...I know, I got duped.

@Gunny: The only reason I bought the Armored Core 4 Aaliyah was ALSO because a friend showed me the AC4 opening video... ;)

Still looking really small for the price. That display sign Koto uses isn't very big.
It is 21cm long so heightwise, it looks to be about the height of some of the taller HG kits. Really should be half the listed price.

All the mechs from ACV are smaller than the ones for previous series, but are still in 1/72 scale. On the flipside the older AC kits have almost half again the number of sprues you find in an MG kit (One reason I haven't finished my Aaliyah is because I misplaced the manual). The previous ACV kit, HangedMan was small in height but had a box BIGGER than most older AC kits! So I'd imagine what it lacks in size it more than makes up in sheer number of parts.
