Gama Goat on steroids (WIP)
« on: April 14, 2015, 12:50:17 PM »

Trying something a little different for QMHE and if done in time might give Model Expo a go as well.

The yanks had a strange little transport around the Vietnam war era called the Gama Goat. I've decided to beef it up with a bit of modern fire power for the inevitable Zombie Apocalypse that's just around the corner.

Take one Tamiya Gama Goat and add a whole pile of Live Resin bits for an even stranger Goat, the Alpha Goat.

A Live Resin 50cal Dragon / 40mm grenade launcher remote turret fits the bill just nicely.

Add some bling with a set of Goodyear Wranglers from a Humvee and throw in a heap of modern Molle type gear in back. Crew have full face helmets and shades (got to look you best as you blow away the zombies).

Turret almost done and a lot of VERY fiddly photoetch bits added. I'm only using a small amount of the parts in the photoetch set as I don't think all the rooting around with the tiny brass pieces really makes a lot of difference, so I'm only adding the parts that aren't already on the model.

Lots of goodies in the trailer.

A couple of old school weapons when you just have to makes sure.

Been trying to come up with a camo scheme and I think I've found one. Wasteland. Won't be doing it hex style but I reckon it fits the bill.

I've also found some nice signs to use as part of the base and a pretty good emblem to put on the beast (somewhere?)

Those signs are perfect, now you just need some spare zombies with glowing green blood etc to match the theme.

Turret nearly finished. Lots of fiddly pain in the ar5e parts that all need to line up to get it looking right. The 40mm grenade launcher is a bit wonky as it was the last pat to go on and all the tolerance just stacked up  :(

Looks a bit like one of the Hunter Killers from Terminator.
