Gundam Origin
« on: March 10, 2015, 01:16:21 PM »

Looks like the new Origin series has gone down like a lead balloon, not one peep about it.

I'll start by asking, seeing as it was an hour long episode does this mean it's going to be another drag on forever Unicorn with an episode only every time Haley's Comet passes?

I tried watching it, but I couldn't get that far into it. The animation is so nice, it's almost TOO good with the mobile suit stuff. And it plays like a series of snapshots of manga scenes--there was little to no connective tissue from scene to scene.

I'll try again at some point, but I can't help but feel like this either needs longer 'episodes' on a Unicorn-ish release schedule (-ish because seriously, that got ridiculous) or just turn the bloody thing into series. I can see the flashback alone lasting at least one 13-episode series.

I've been too busy with other things to watch.

Will write up a full critique when done.

nyaa

I watched it & actually enjoyed it. A bit too short & no real action except a couple of parts but overall wasn't too bad.
Will knock out full critique soon.

Really enjoyed the first episode so far. Probably going to be released really slowly over time though.
