Official 53rd shizuoka hobby show thread
« on: May 14, 2014, 05:19:57 PM »

UPDATE: discuss all shizuoka hobby show news here

as described in this article by DC23 based upon an all japanese tweet by bandai (hobbysite) a new line is going to be revealed and on display in the 1/100 scale featuring basically every feature they used to describe the RG line or the 3.0 which was a 1/100RG if we are honest.

if the price is right im all for this, i recently built my first RG and it was grand, that in a bigger scale can only be good.

To this I give a big, resounding "Eh?"

Isn't the Master Grade line meant to be the detailed 1/100 scale line? The 'big name' entries in the MG line lately (Nu, Sazabi, etc) have been RG level of detail anyway. Maybe some kind of mis-translation or communication going on. To be honest, it's the PG line that needs more detail in its kits.

Well, I guess we'll see.

Possible detail externally with simple inner frame? Or it could be with the rg one-piece inner frames.

I agree that it doesn't need to be a new line, why not just make mg 3.0s these detailed etc instead of a new line, still I'm all for more detail and everything else

Thats what I was thinking the 3.0 line was more your upscaled RG kits, though maybe it didn't do very well sales wise and they are going another angle?
New Zaku could be cool :)

'Reborn 100' does make it seem like mg is done as a brand but that would be well odd.

Interesting, if real, that the nightingale would be kit 1, with the Kshatriya repair and that silly zeong thing bandai are really pumping out the big kits, whatever happened to 'smaller kits and less big releases' can only hope this leads to a pg at years end

This means...this means...

I don't have to scratchbuild a 1/100 Nightingale anymore!! WOOHOOO!!!

(Jumps for joy for all the wrogn reasons)

@Gunny: You have no idea how many people, knowing my repfor tryign to scratchbuild things that Bandai eventually releases, have demanded a Nightingale kit...especially since a 1.100 Hi-Nu already exists.

Why? It existed on a few pages of a manga. What's so special about Uncle Fester? There are more main stream MS that deserve a bit of attention before some over rated red lump that Char warmed is ar5e in  :P

The next one apparently would be Gundam Mark III and GP04.

- Point taken, yeah...I want my God@#@#%mn F90 Master Grade at least... :/

Looking at that lineup again, though...Nightingale, Mk-III, GP04...it looks like a list of the oddballs that enough fans want but Bandai never really bothered to make kits of because they either were novel-only (Nightingale), or MSVs that weren't officially seen (Mk-III and GP04)...if that's the case one of the next likely candidates might be the Pezun Dowadge or the Heavy Gundam...
