Another box of Zeon goodies for your poor old under armed Zaku. This time it's a Raketen Baz, some Sturm Fausts (4), a Zaku shield and some spiky bits to go on it.

The Raketen Baz is a more stylised version of the 880mm bazooka that comes with the DOM. It can be modelled with two different muzzles and two different magazines. The blast shield can be attached to either side, allowing for both left and right hand use for a change.

The Zaku shield comes with a number of attachments to allow it to be used as a standard Zaku II shield, a hand held Zaku I shield with 3 spikes for those occasions where a knuckle sandwich is in order  ;), and a series of brackets to attach, the 4 Strumfausts, the Raketen Baz, a Zaku machinegun or two or a combination of the three.

It also has the usual sets of hands posed at the right angle to be able to use the Baz and the obligatory weapon stand.

All in all this is one of the better sets as it's pretty well what you see is what you get, not a whole pile parts you can't use as they all share one common piece. The only left over parts are the alternative muzzle and magazine for the Baz.

I see it also has a rack holder for the shield. Will it only work on the shield that comes with the set, or can it be mounted on other 1/144 Zaku shields as well? The HGUC Zaku R2 kits had a shield-mounted weapon holder that (so far as I can see) only fits on the R2 Zaku shields. I've tried using it on the older Zaku I and an older ZZ Gundam Desert Zaku shield, but it wouldn't fit.

Yeah I did mention that it has a number of brackets for attaching things to the shield  ;) as to whether or not they work on the standard HGUC kit shields I have no idea. As you only get one set of brackets I don't really see it as an issue, just use the shield that comes with this set.

I've checked the brackets and they won't fit a normal HGUC shield.

The shield that comes with this set is shorter and narrower than the HGUC one and the brackets clips into little notches on the sides of the shield that aren't on HGUC shields.
