Here's my non judged entry in Grunt Build #5 Mission Specialists. (Now with better pictures)

It an MG RGM-79[G] Close Assault Specialist.

As Mother Nature (Bitch!) has not been too kind around my neck of the woods this is entirely hand painted. Not such a big deal for the base coats but a bit of a bugger for the final coats as it's hard to clear coat without disturbing the weathering but hey what's done is done. Hope it looks alright  :-\

Paints are a mix of Gunze, Tamiya & Vallejo. Weathering is mainly MIG & Vallejo pigments, both dry and with matte medium.
Decals are mix of Bandai, Wave & HiQ with a couple of specials thrown in.
Weapons are Kotobukiya.
Extra armour & hands are Bandai Builders Parts as are the Feddy shield emblems.

I tried to depict a heavily used, not cleaned too often city fighter. I mainly tried to concentrate on dust from building rubble and smog build up with a little bit of mud and dirt around the lower parts. I kept the battle damage down and more to the right side and shield and put a bit of rust around the bolt on plates as that's where I'd expect the water and other nasties to pool.

Edit: I apologise for the original pictures. They were pretty washed out. I've switched to a darker background so hopefully these will be more appealing.

For all the hardships mother nature gave you id say this turned out rather well, I like the detail you put into your builds, the damage locations and weathering types nails your story

Thanks for the comments.

I'm going to lock this for a while until I can take some better pictures. The grey background has really washed the whole thing out. Hopefully the blue background will put a bit of life back into it.

Edit: hopefully the new pictures are bit better.

This is the build I always wanted to do but never had the skills or follow through, so if you don't mind I will just vicariously bask in your glory.

100%. Decal weathering and selection have blown my mind.
