removing seam lines
« on: July 08, 2012, 10:55:04 AM »

Hi

Question on removing seam lines.
I've sand paper out seam lines on parts. After it's done, the part is nice smooth, but you can see scratches on them. So how do you hide the scratches? Do you have to spray the part with gloss?

If you are painting, then primer will fill those marks.

If not, then you will need to sand using progressively finer grade sandpaper until they are completely gone.

have you heard the wet sanding?
take the find grit sand paper - in small size for convenience - and dip into water and sand away in circular motion.
ever watched Karate Kid?  you will recall Left, Right, Left, Right as instructed by sensei. :p
that's what I'm talking bout - with one arm of coz.
