So whilst i waiting for my wire for the FAU to arrive from the UK thinking it would take forever i figured id start on this kit... the wire turned up within a week lol but im enjoying this build too much to stop now so the FAU can wait a little longer

so the kit as described in the R&D
HERE needs some hand painted detail love to become the master piece it should be, and thats exactly what i'm doing, i actually de-sprued the whole kit before building and have since been slowly building sub assemblies and {poorly) painting on detail.
first the head, not actually much detail to add here besides panel lines but its does come with a noteworthy gimmick in the polycap plactice "wires" that plug into the head and go through the neck into the body and provide a great "moving part" look when you move the head

the body, starting with the "zoid core", its basically hidden in the body and completely un seen once build but its still a pretty kool addition

Apparently zoids have disc brakes - giant red calipers inherently a must

and my current position, the tail, neck and head attached to the body, the tail is great has some great articulation (as does the neck/head) and it can actually "lock" into place for the sniper shot ala the anime, heres some pics to try an illustrate the articulation and the detail etc ive "attempted" to hand painted on lol

...seahorse zoid anyone

the leena pilot figure comes pre painted which is pretty kool and saves some tiny tiny painting, it is missing facial features though and looks a little ghostly lol

wow those photos really show where ive messed up painting and tried to fix it, looks ok in person, not on camera though aparently lol, ah well practice makes slightly better
