Weapon time, this is where most of my effort has been as this was where most of the "disappointment" in the kit was, there's lots of weapons with lots of detail cant complain there, the problem is it was all just grey, granted there were two different greys, but no single weapon was more then one color.
This is common with HG level gundam kits but with so much of the kit drawing parallel to MG kits its annoying the weapons don't, but anyway i decided to repaint every weapon which as it turns out takes time.

Building up the layers of primer, main color, other color, and 2 or 3 detail layers depending on how easy it was to hold the piece to do multiple details in one hit takes many sessions.
i went for black and dark greys as a base with orange details to extend the main zoids theme and some dark green thrown in

btw this is the wild weasel unit that makes this kit/zoid the leena special

i keep forgetting to mention, to see the pics in larger 1600x1200 format see the actual google gallery

there are a couple more small guns that stick on various places still under work but besides that the kit is built and almost ready for top coat and decals

More guns

Under carriage gun

Random guns, these are weird they aren't shown in the manual anywhere, putting the two halves together, or placing them on the model at all and yet they are not crossed out on the runner diagram, the only place they are acknowledged is in one single wireframe diagram at the back sitting next to the WW unit, they arent anywhere in the pro built model pics throughout the manual, but anyway i think they look awesome and i found a spare hole on top of a gatling gun so they will live there.

side gun - classic zoid gun at that too, poorly painted and pre clean up i should mention, just look at that silver and orange :S

And with that all the building is done, just gotta clean up everything perhaps redo some panel lines and give it a top coat before decals, then another top coat, none of which ill take photos of i rekon lol so this will be the last WIP post

Koto don't cross out the parts you don't use, they have a box listing the left over parts. See bottom left of page 006. It's strange that those guns aren't used as they are refered to in the fluff on page 023 and also in the pictures on page 006  Huh? Huh?

You could always put them in the shopping basket  Tongue

ah there ya go, there they are right there in that box, thanks for the tip gunny, I guess they show it in the manual because they belong to the wild weasel unit but still confusing lol, and the baskets full :p

oh hey i didnt think of that, or the regular gunsniper, but still why picture them here lol

random trivia
i always thought, from the anime, that the full armoury on the leena special was the wild weasel unit turns out im wrong the WW Unit is just the small minigun, the rifle things and missile pods as seen here on the naomi special HMM kit (which is weird coz naomi doesnt use the wild weasel unit lol-not the first time koto have done that either)

im not the only on that things this either hnce this excerpt from the zoids wiki regarding the wild weasel unit lol
Quote
Fandom
The Wild Weasel unit is often mistaken for the modified Gunsniper weapons system used by Leena Toros in New Century. While Leena's Gunsniper does use a CP-13 system, her Wild Weasel Unit is used as the core of an extravagant (and somewhat excessive) weapons system.
It is commonly believed that the CP-13 system also eliminates the Gunsniper's ability to use its Tail Sniper Rifle. This is untrue; the rifle is still operational while the Gunsniper uses the CP-13 unit. This also stems from the fact that Leena never bothered to use the sniper rifle of her Gunsniper in New Century.

Edited: coz I'm going crazy

On the Naomi gunsniper they are an alternative for the forearm gatlings, although why you'd want to replace gatlings with little pop guns is beyond me unless they are some kind of mega blaster in a small package.

Knowing anime they most likely are, as mentioned before I've mounted mine on the gatlings, why settle for one if you can have both

So it turns out koto don't do decal guides either and no pic in the manual has decals lol, free will it is then at least they are water slides Smiley, one top coat down decals to go on, I can see why people suggest using gloss clear before decals the flat doesn't look that smooth but oh well lol
