HobbyLink Japan x Gundam Australia Forum ;D
« on: October 12, 2010, 09:01:04 PM »

Here is the big news we alluded to earlier!

We are extremely excited and very proud to announce that the Gundam Australia Forum is now officially sponsored by HobbyLink Japan!

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to HobbyLink Japan for their support and we  look forward to your sponsorship being a mutually beneficial and long lasting relationship with Gundam Australia and our members.

(WOW!)

What this means:

  • This means we will begin to run competitions in the near future with Gunpla kits and other prize items to give away supplied courtesy of the good people at HLJ!

  • We will have an additional GAF member benefit: a limited number of special discount codes for GAF members for use when shopping with HobbyLink Japan to issue to YOU as a thank you for participating in upcoming events on the forum! The HobbyLink Japan voucher can only be used on HobbyLink Japan (hlj.com) merchandise, excluding Early Bird or special clearance price sale items. There is no limit to what you can buy. One per person, single use only.

  • We will be offering our support to HLJ in terms of links and promotion of new items, and we hope that you will offer your support by shopping with them, clicking on the banner/links & giving them lots of hits. ^^

  • We still would encourage you to support your local retailers as well, but we hope that if you are buying from Japan you will consider HLJ for your purchase.

  • We still remain a fair and impartial platform for all retailers to share their product information and we do not wish for anyone to feel excluded. You are still, as always, more than welcome to promote your stores and announce your shipments and specials on the forum and that is something that will never change as we have always felt that local retailers are a very important part of our hobby and our community and very necessary to the health and expansion of the hobby and community as a whole. As such we are happy as always to support you however we can. (Advertising space is available for anyone who is interested! ;))
Please understand that this partnership will play an integral role in helping us to promote the hobby and nourish and excite the Gunpla community and we are not choosing any sides, moreover aligning ourselves with a business that is able to actively facilitate this growth. There is certainly more room, so the more businesses that choose to align with us in the future, the merrier!

  • We also remain a fair and impartial platform for modellers to share information and opinions. That will never change and nothing is expected or required of you as our members as a result of this sponsorship. Supporting our sponsors is completely up to the individual. We hope to be able to show HLJ that offering us sponsorship in the long term will be beneficial to their business so we would greatly appreciate your support should you wish to give it.  :D

  • What we think is really fantastic is we now have a greater capacity to give back to you, the Gunpla community, thanks to the support of HobbyLink Japan. Nurturing and promoting the hobby and contributing to the community is the reason we started the forum.

  • HLJ group orders are also being considered. We intend to demonstrate our loyalty to HLJ by making them our preferred supplier.

Essentially not a lot will change in terms of what you see on the forum. Forum administrators have more often than not provided a link to HLJ items for reference in their posts since the beginning of GAF 1.0. Now we will be providing one whenever the possibility and correct context arises. Forum moderators and members are not required to do this but you may if you wish. There is also the banner ad which you have all seen by now. Some competitions and some excitement, and that's about the extent of what you will see changing  :)

The only other major change will be that you now will have the opportunity to win prizes!!!

So stay tuned to the Gundam Australia Forum for the announcement of the first
HobbyLink Japan x Gundam Australia Forum competition!

We are very excited to be entering the next phase of the forum and we are both proud and humbled to have HLJ's support as well as the continued support of all of our valued members. It is important to us that you as members understand that without you we are nothing, and your loyalty and support is what keeps us doing what we do.

This is the dawn of a new era for the Gundam Australia Forum and we are so excited to have you and HLJ along for the ride!

;D ;D ;D よろしくお願いします。;D ;D ;D
