Operation Meteor - The Gundam Wing EW Group Build
« on: February 29, 2012, 09:07:19 AM »

With high expectations, human beings leave Earth to begin a new life in space colonies. However, the United Earth Sphere Alliance gains great military powers, and soon seizes control of one colony after another in the name of Justice and Peace. The year is After Colony 195. Operation Meteor. In a move to counter the Alliance's tyranny, rebel citizens of certain colonies scheme to bring new arsenals to the Earth, disguising them as shooting stars. However, the Alliance headquarters catches on to this operation.

So here we are, the Gundam Wing EW GB! I have no set timeline for this as I'd like you to be able to have as much time as you can to be the most creative and the fact it's a GB that involves about 7 MG kits, if someone was so keen to do all, I want you to have the ability to show us you can do that! You are more than welcome to share your previous builds.

Rules are simple:

1. The Group Build's Main Focus is the list below, but due to popular demand you may participate using previous HG releases (including 1/100 and 1/144 sizes)!
 a. MG 1/100 Wing Gundam EW (or Ver. Ka)
 b. MG 1/100 Deathscythe EW
 c. MG 1/100 Deathscythe Hell
 d. MG 1/00 Sandrock EW
 e. MG 1/100 Shenlong EW
 f. MG 1/100 Heavyarms EW
 g. MG 1/100 Epyon EW
 h. MG 1/100 Wing Gundam TV ( not EW, but recent enough to go with the line of kits )
 i.  MG 1/100 Wing Zero EW

2. There are no restrictions or requirements on building your kits, do them how you want to do them. No prizes or pressure here, just have fun.

3. Those who wish to do conversions must prove one of the original kits above were used in the construction of the kit. The only thing I could see possible here is someone trying to attempt a Wing Zero TV conversion from one of the kits above, i'd love to see that by the way!

Now, let OPERATION METEOR begin!

most of the MG EW kits are in my want list so ill most likely build one during the course of this GB, i think now that all but one wing EW suit has been released this si a great time for the GB all those out there who have wanted them but havent yet got them, get on it and join everyone else in building them

whats the time schedule on this GB?

It states within the description there is no timeline, and I think the EW line is over with the release of Heavyarms, it was replaced by the new SEED line. So this GB is perfect because all the kits are released. I was hoping for an MG Tallgeese, but that's still possible as a TV ver. release down the line.

ah! only MG's?  so no Nataku's or H-Arms Custom?  No Serpents?  OK.  It's ok to post pics of past builds? but one thats been built in a previous GB?  so that means I cant post pics of my Shenlong ver. Nataku?

Hmm, you bring up a good point. It would be technically under the Endless Waltz category to include the EW HGs but at the same time detracts from the reasoning of this GB, to celebrate the end of the MG EW line. I will remove the suggestion that says you cannot share previous pics from previous builds, that kind of thing tends to inspire others.

What do you say fellas? Do you want HGs included?

forgot about the shenlong they should so do a MG version of that, the focus of the GB was on the latest MG line of EW kits but i guess for completions sake the HGS can be included, if it gets more people in its good imo

Well, it's going to be all MG for me personally.

My Plans for this GB.
MG Heavyarms
MG Shenlong
MG Sandrock
Finish MG Epyon from previous Epyon GB (which is now this one). Straight build is already done.

I will probably post some pics up of my previous builds as well

lol. I'll have to update the banner if HG will be included in the mix. Let me know Zeta, in the mean time, I'll do one with the list of kit shown in the 1st post.
