1/100 MG Z'Gok ... The RaDGoK
« on: December 30, 2011, 06:45:07 AM »

Aside from the teaser image released a week or two ago I've been pretty tight lipped about what I've been up to this past month. Here it is, the radioactive Z'Gok known as RaDGoK.

The build is simple yet unconventional. Primed white, glow in the dark paint on top of that, and on top of that black nail polish that shrinks as it dries. Yes, you read it right, nail polish.

It's also my entry for G-Shot 2011...

Of course, I have a full write up on the project @ http://otakurevolution.com/content/radgok-the-radioactive-zgok

OMFG! That is one very bad@ss looking Z'Gok. DId you use the airbrush for the glow in the dark paint? Cause they are a bit thick?

That is nothing short of RAD! :naughty:

I saw a tin of GITD spray paint in a hardware store long ago and wondered when someone would put it to good use on a gunpla.

You, my friend, have done it with finesse.

Most unique Gunpla I've seen all year.

Wow! Damn that looks amazing!

Theres a similar product that can be used for acrylic paint to creat that shrinking effect. Its called Crackling medium.

Krylon spray. Over all it's pretty thick, but it dried thinner and smoother than one would think.

Thanks for the comments guys! :)

Original  ;D It really suits the Z'Gok as it sort of looks like it's wearing a Hazmat suit anyway.

Reminds me of some of those Polar Lights kits you used to be able to buy that were made out of glow in the dark plastic.
