MG Sinanju
« on: July 24, 2011, 11:02:02 PM »

Hi guys!  Here's my recently finished wip: MG Sinanju.  Took me about 5 months of on/off work with this guy.  Not to mention I had alot of issues snapbuilding this kit.  The joints are so tight that they tend to break when you connect them together and I had alot of broken parts *sigh* Luckily I'm able to fix them all although I don't think I could place the beam rifle in it's hand anymore.

Sorry for the rant and off to the pics hehe

slideshow and bigger pics: http://www.flickr.com/photos/30898592@N06/sets/72157627268020700/show/

I added some pics in normal room light since this guy tends to change colors when placed under a tablelamp.

Oeeeh shiny!  ;D
Love it man! You used a very nice shade of orange/red and the decals look sharp too. (waterslides i suppose?)

Really like your photo's too, nice lighting. It really shows the suit in it's full glory!  :)

Absolutely stunning mate, bravo. Love the choice of colour and the finish looks 'showroom'. I can only imagine that this looks even better in person where the eye can catch more than the lens. A testament to your skills and bandai's design, 5/5 :-)

Thanks for the comments guys!

@Sir Vyving

yup! that's water decals.  I like applying water decals to my kits since it's my favorite part when doing gunpla.  very relaxing for me

@Falldog

sorry about that.  That's from too much exposure in the settings of my camera since I'm trying out a bright background style that I've seen other modellers do.  Epic fail for me hehe!

@Fury-s12

almost there.  I had done about 8 layers of gloss haha!

@Hoardz01

I used gundam ex super clear gloss III.  I think it's the equivalent of the spray can mr hobby super gloss.

I've been waiting for a really brilliantly shiny metallic orange Sinanju. This kind of shine is all about meticulous prep work and you obviously have been very particular about the details. Outstanding. ;D

Very, very cool! I'm in love with the color and the finish. It definitely shows how much effort you put into the kit!

No way, you got that all wrong, I mean that as a compliment. It's so smooth it almost has to be CG.
