HGUC Gogg
« on: June 11, 2011, 01:30:15 AM »

My first wip here!

Sorry about post format, this forum use differents option respect to others forum i'm involved

This is one of the kit actually involved on "one year war GB" i'm hosting on another site  ;D
try to put more gunpla there .

mods will be panel lines added and inside head details, backpack improving and add various details on the body.
All pieces was sanded to remove smooth surface (this made easy shading with drybrush and improve the paint grip)
that's the work i do till now

body panels ,optional pins removed from inner shoulder armor, doing more space inside the body to put head basement etc

arms joint glued only on the chest sides

complete basement

heatforming monoeye clear shield, using original piece as mold

head mods

insert a pin to allow when finished the removing of head cover

backpack modding

And all lght main color complete

that's all for now.
For the same GB also started the Gouf v2.0, but actually i have only disassembled it  :-\

Wow, you have been busy. The effort you put in is amazing and the reults speak for themselves. So much detail being added, and the usual weathering in the final product, cant wait to see it. Please share how you do your panel lines?

Thanx for comments Hoardz01
In some case i draw lines with a pencil, the just use my old steel stanley cutter with a good hand grip to engrave first groove :

Someone use plastic tapes or metal rules to keep the lines starboard.
After this i do lots of engraving with normal hobby knife but with the back of blade, this passage engrave and clean lines. Then sanding with fine sandpaper , and again clean till the line is good :)
Hope explain was clear. At the next update

This is a really awesome build you have.  The Scratch-building is great.  Looking forward to the next update.

"glossing" lighter color parts, after a first brown dry brush step. Also the hip received a first grey paint as primer

Black parts glossed too and hightlight with dark grey

complete glossed parts are ready for decals, but prefere to finish all pieces to choose and place the decals

looking great!
And I like those mod you've done!

although I'm in the school of thought that at 1/144 one cannot see those panel lines easily hence no need for any serious panel lines - in other words I don't have to work on those. Call me lazy. :P

Thanx for cooments guys :)
DJ898 i know probably panel lines are a little out of scale but like to give an heavy looking to my MS :D
I'm lazy too (have started hguc a guncannon, a Gyan , a marasai a gouf and a powered GM that actually sleeps in the boxes, someone for years) put the finished looking give me the stranght to win my laziness :)
Also when i start a complex mod i don't care about the complexity of the same mod, so i'm constrained to did it if want to see the finished piece.
Soon some more picture about the backpack, added lots of pieces. I found and painted two fans (probably from the airfix concorde 1/144) that match the diameter of gogg engines :)

Yeah I saw that a few weeks ago they archived the gallery so we can't post on them but atleast they are keeping them online.
