Outstanding Lupes. You can really see how you've pored over perfecting the paint. I'm dumbfounded. Please buy a large piece of black fabric and a cool white globe for your lamp and shoot it on a black background (if you can be bothered!) ;D

I can't get over how FAST you tackled this build. Compared the myself and BB, you flew right through it and you've got an excellent kit to boot!

I'll see what I can find, might have to make a quick drive west for a large enough bit of black fabric.

Nice job everyone!  This is shaping up to be a pretty impressive finish!!!

Just want to make a couple of quick notes.  I'm officially cutting it off at  September 1 - 00:00 EST.  So sync up since most of us are in different time zones!

Entering into the last week I can't believe that just NOW I'm finally getting my paint mixtures right and have to repaint some parts!  Blah!  Better now then later though.  Most of you are done but I'm pushing this right to the wire!  After all what's a GB without DRAMA!

The storm is coming!

FINAL WEEK!  To the remaining participants, aka The Survivors, aka The Vanguard, aka the Legends...  Your time is NOW!  Time to make it happen guys!

Argh. By EST you're meaning United States east coast time right? So that would be around 2pm AEST. I think. I'll play it safe and aim for Wednesday night.

Panic stations everyone!

Hey, if I decide mine doesn't need wings then I can pretend I'm finished!

Wing's'll be done tonight, and I might just possibly get the "WMDs" done.

EDIT: Apologies for the rather ishe-tastic picture. Damn phone cameras. I'll be using a real camera for the finished shots.

Out of curiosity Shaid, do you have a lot of WiP pictures for this thing? I'd love to see it come together bit by bit on your blog in a wrap up post or something like that.

@lupes: I have some wip photos, but iirc it mostly consists of lots of plastic on sticks in various states of gold, primer and white/blue, and then bits of it assembled. I'll have to go through them.

I'm done.

And I'm exhausted. Yet deeply satisfied.  I'll be doing a wrap up post on my site and then the official gallery full a pictures on September 1 or whatever time that is here.

Until then, here's a teaser. (I'm not much of a tease)

I feel like a father about to send his child off for its first day of school.  Anxious, yet excited.
