:( and I was all gee'd up for a staory too.

That's shi t hot, or more appropriately it probably was when it landed. ;D

Mind telling us a bit about your military background? Army I'm guessing? Regiment? Division? Rank? Where have you served? Briefs or boxers? I'm very honoured to have a serviceman among us.

I collect sneakers, Nike mostly. That's why I asked.

Yeah it was hot, couldn't touch it for about 20 minutes. 500 pounders don't normally end up with such large pieces and that one travelled over 200 meters from the blast site. If you look closely at the picture you can tell that no expense is spared in the alloy used to make the bomb casing as this is over 20 years old and there is only a tiny amount of corrosion in few places. Below is shot of the under side. You can see that the edges look like knife blades and are razor sharp. For the first 100 meters or so this large piece would have sliced just about anything it came across clear in half.

Christ it's like a serrated knife. So I'm guessing you're in demolitions? A Bombardier?

Sorry forgot the last part of your question.

Cold War Fossil about sums it up. Back in the day when we controlled the terrorists and they blew up who we told them to blow up.  :abaoaqu: (used that because it's as close to mushroom cloud as there is ;))

Which Nikes do you have? Or which sneakers do you have?

Maybe start a shoe thread, so we dont take over Gunny's staory telling!
