Not really sure who actually molds the kits for them, I do know that Mechanicore was Elyn. They changed names or were bought out, something happened not sure so can't say. But Elyn is now Mechanicore.  I do know that one would think that as they grew they would get better in the quality department, but sadly that does not seem to be the case. I know a few people who are building some of their most resent kits and they are having the same issues, in fact some of the issues are worse not better.

I will go into more detail about the hows and why of each part as I go and for an even further in depth look into the build I have a WIP blog going on wordpress. https://gundammonkeysgarage.wordpress.com/2018/01/15/tiefsturmer-wip/ But so far to say once you get past the first couple of problems the rest is easy. I have the whole kit just "Snapped" together at this moment. Lots of tape was needed to hold most of it together. Some of the connections are just so lose the parts just fall out. Where other connections are so tight you have to drill the holes out or risk breaking the part.

I officially started this kit a few months ago, but I have not been very active on the boards too much. But I will now play catch up and show where I'm at this point.  This thing is a beast to work on and build. The two main reasons for that are as follows.
1. It has fit issues. Almost all of the parts need a bit of work or touch up to make them fit just right. And the flash, it is everywhere on this thing.
2. Me and my attempt at perfection with my builds. That is why it takes me forever to build a kit. That line is not straight, take it apart and start it over, repeat until it is correct. Do that a thousand times on this kit, and next thing you know you have spent 3 months on it and only have one or two parts almost done.

It dose not look to over done IMO. It might be coming back from a bad rainy day on patrol so it would be extra dirty. I think it looks great for a first go, better than my first try at weathering anyway. Mine looked like it was taking a mud bath. LOL :)

Hello from the other side of the world! Glad to see Gundam is everywhere. Don't worry I won't mention anything about episode 7, or how it was just a rehash of episode IV with a large slathering of SJW thrown in for craps sake.  SEIG ZEION!! :)

I'm back on here after a long time gone. I live in the States so the whole time thing is going to be a fun thing to work around, as soon as we catch up to you guys I will be a bit behind.  LOL  The last time I was on here I was doing all of my building in my truck as I drove over the road.  I have since sold the truck, trailer everything. I got off the road and now I'm driving a desk! LOL  New and better job so now I have real builds going on. Looking forward to showing off my WIPs and what not. Glad to be back.

Surprising as it may seem, the RGs are rather sturdy kits.  The MGs on the other hand ..... put them on a stand and don't breath around them. Better yet don't even go in the same room. Especially the Unicorn Gundam full armor ver Ka.  That one drops thing just for fun i think.

OK here is the SITREP on my situation.  I can reply to posts and comment, but not make a post.  I made this one and that was it. I have tried to make other posts in other groups with and with out pics.  All is a no go, not one other post has made it up.  Welcome to my world, computers hate me.  Probably has to do with me being from the states, can't see how what with this being the Interweb and all that but that's all I can think that it could be.

Any Idea how long the wait is for anything to post?  I have tried to post 4 times each time it says  "waiting for GAF" then nothing.  I know the pics are the right size and what not, just not sure do they have to get approved by a moderator first or something? All the "read me first" sections didn't anything about that so I wasn't sure.

Any one know who long it takes for a topic to show up on the boards?  I have tried to post 4 times and I can't get my post to go up.  What gives?   There also seems to be no way to contact the administrators  to find out what if anything I'm doing wrong or what the problem is.

nice looking Dom.  Did you paint the feet silver first then black to get the chipping to look "real" I'm still working on my weathering methods.

Looks good to me so far.  I have all the RGs you will get used to the small size of the parts, at least I did.  You are doing a rather good job with this being your first RG keep it up.

actually she put the whole collection (Over 300 Gundams) on E-bay sold as a "lot" and she was soooo proud she got almost $400!! WOW what a deal for the buyer is all I was thinking.  All is good I have restarted bigger and better and my new girl likes them and watches Gundam with me!

Hello, I came across this wonderful Gundam forum site after the one I was on kept breaking down over and over and over. Crap that sucked. So here I'm from The Sates and a big Gundam fan just looking for other Gundam fans.  I drive over the road so I'm all over the states and I do most if not all of my building in my truck. I have been collecting Gundams for a few years, and thanks to a wonderful Ex-wife I now have to start my collection all over.  I will post my in-process pics and when I get to the house I can start a thread with my finished Gundam.  Glad to find a forum site that is working.
