Mobile Suit Hangar / MG 1/100 Delta Plus, detail work only
« on: September 05, 2011, 10:14:49 PM »
So I got my Delta Plus MG recently and got to work on it.....

before getting to work, I decided to compare the box with a 1/100 NG and 1/144 HG Box.

Yeah, even 00 NG's have thicker boxes compared to delta plus

as for the brave, it's thickness is equal. yeah, this is one of the slimmest MG Box to date..

On to the build:

Day 1:

So I started snapping the head together, seems easy enough:

after Detailing it up.

One of the oddball designs from 00, this kit takes a lot of aesthetic features from the Enact (For Standard), Flag (For commander), and Susanowo and Masurao Design wise

I got the kit fully snapped and ready, but it needs panel lining before I can call it a day.

Here's some WIP Pics:

Central Chest Block:

The things easy, very reminiscent of the 1/100 Over Flag I built, though HG Stickers are a pain in the noggin. It took me 10 minutes just to get those vulcan stickers on right.

construction is reminiscent of the 1/100 Over Flag. Visor piece has an "eye" but it's too damn tiny rto see clearly. Face has a silver foil sticker before the visor to achieve the shiny orange facemask effect. Face visor also has a scar pattern, but it's hard to see right now

Upper Body with shoulders:

No isues placing the armor on, it seriously reminds me of Susanowo/Masurao with the body's build. especially the back.

GN Drive on Body Block:

Yeah, really reminds me of Masurao/Susanowoo now.

Upper half complete:

I took the pose from another wip, can you guess what unit? (Hint: It's an older work I did)

This is really taken from susanowoo or masurao. Hard to say if it's the same parts, new parts, or same parts with slight mods. also those smal black stickers on the crotch armor were a pain to place properly (Small, absurdly small)

Some finished snap build pics:

Surprisingly flexible, given it's body structure (My 1/100 NG Flag can't even kneel)

Yeah, it's pretty big for an HG, I saw the commander and Flag (Both 1/144 HG Kits) The Flag is as tall as this thing's leg.. The Gun had LOTS of stickers, and the side ones (Wrap around stickers) Were a real pain in the arse. One of em wasn't placed too well and It's too late to go back. sigh

thats all, still need to panel line the thing before I can say it's done

NG 1/100 Limited edition Over Flag boxart

MK II in Space:

Some pics of my completed Over Flag for the Grunt MS GB.

MA Mode

If you guys wonder why the heck it screams Masurao, don't ask. I kinda realized that, only AFTER I Painted the beast. LOL

Well, i got the over Flag a few days ago, so, I proudly present to you

Time to get to work

So I painted some parts (Some with masking) some without.

After a near botched shoulder, I decided to take a good brek, may resume later this evening or tomorrow
