So a little update from me. i have been working on the main gun mounts have a little to go as seen in the forth pic below, to allow movement of the guns i have put a polycap inside the end of the gun, i also used the thruster parts that attached to the m1 backpack as cooling vents as can be seen in the third pic.

Will be making the connector point more stable so it won't drop to one side due to weight.

so here is were i'm up to, I used the other back packs beam saber holder and attached them to the thruster unit and finished of the other gun, when i know what i'm doing for the mounting unit then another mod to the guns will be made which will include vents for the guns and the connectors, the knifes are from the amazing weapon binder lucky they fit perfectly into the holes on the thruster with no modding needed.

Not sure if I'm going to put thrusters on the back of the legs or use the sword that came with the astray even tho there is no collision problems.

so a little progress for me first as pitched below, i removed some of the plastic to add a polycap to the rife so i could attach it to the shield mount it will have two in the end. add some .5 mm pla plate to hold and seal a seam.

here is a front view of it attached to the m1 with the rifle attached on the fore arm and in the side view you will see the completed back pack mode.

Will be making an attachment to allow the the guns to sit on the backpack when not attach to the arm.and will give a place for the shield to rest with them i know this will increase it back heaviness a bit more, the model can still stand at this point.

so i finally got new tools and the first mod i did was cut the lower ball joint off one back pack and add a piece of pla plate to extend it only by .5 and saw the top piece of the other then glued the ball joint to it. So waiting for it to dry then i'll start work on the next piece which should be the main guns.

welcome to the forum. gundam.info has a few of the series you can watch over there, every one has personal choices when it comes to this subject, most of the gundam series focus around war with a few exceptions like build fighters and g gundam to my knowledge. some good ones are 8th ms team, gundam wing, gundam 00 and build fighters. hope this helps a little i'm sure the other will chip in as well.
