Now with Mini-Me  :)

The Catapult / Re: MG MSA-003 Nemo (updated pics)

Finally got around to posing the Nemo the way I wanted to but didn't have the right base.

Was lucky enough to score a 2nd in Mech-2 at the 2018 QMHE with it in this configuration.

Straight OOB MG Guntank.

Great kit with lots of gimmicks that you never use. Tons of parts that really serve no purpose unless you want to play with it like a toy.

Built it with a fair bit of battle damage, left cannon jammed to the rear (that took way more surgery than you could possibly imagine), right arm shot to sh!t and dangling down plus various other impact marks. Added some spent shell casings falling off the rear to give the impression it was firing the BFG. Bandai as usual have stuffed up the relative size of the weapons to the scale of the kit. The guns are supposed to be 120mm but don't scale out anywhere that, more like well over 200mm and the bazooka launchers on the arms are only supposed to be 40mm but are bigger in diameter than the guns.

Paints were Tamiya for the most part. Earth for the base colour with green, yellow & black for the camo. Decals are all from the Bandai set for the Guntank and the base has some plaster dragon's teeth and 1/35 tank traps.

Was lucky enough to take out 1st place in Mech-1 at the 2018 QMHE

Rocket Models (or Model Collect outside Japan) 1/72 E-100 Ausf.Sechsfubler "Nothung"

Huge model for 1/72 scale. Pretty simple parts set as all the legs are the same so you get 6 sets of each sprue needed for the legs. Only problem with that is any error in the moulding is repeated 6 times and believe me there were plenty  >:( Hull went together pretty easy but the AA turrets need a bit of TLC. The main turret is completely out of proportion to the huge hull and legs and looks a bit strange (as if the whole doesn't  ;) )

Painted in late war German ambush colours using Gunze paints and weathere with the usual suspects from Vallejo, AK & Tamiya. I chose to do some of the legs in various states of finish depicting repairs and replacement legs.

All in all a bugger of a kit to assemble but once done is pretty impressive. It's only one of a whole range of legged tanks although most of them are only 4 legged and use a different design leg which goes together a lot easier than these.

I stuck to an all metallic scheme using Gunze & Tamiya acrylics. Main red is Gunze Metallic Red with Gunze Clear Red on alternating panels. Black is Gunze Metallic Steel Red and the grey parts either Metallic Grey or Steel. The white parts are Gunze Silver and I used Tamiya Metallic Brown for the wooden parts.

The decals are mostly Bandai from the set for the Shin Musha. The kit shows two types of Shin Musha and I combined both sets of decals where space permitted. 165 all up.

Final clear was Gunze laid on as wet as possible. This did upset the Gunze Copper I used for the pipes but it doesnít look too bad (I hope). Had a small FUBAR. The upper collet on the spear split and disappeared down the carpet monsterís throat so I cut the end off of the shaft and redrilled the hole and just glued the spear head directly to the shaft.

Finally dipped a toe into the Ma.K. pond. A Strahl forces SK362 Panzer Spahwagen Oskar automated reconnaissance hover tank. Iíve called it ďLostĒ as itís aimlessly wandering a wasteland somewhere due to a communications breakdown, slowly rusting away due to the acid rain.

Paints were mostly Gunze with a bit of Tamiya and Vallejo. Weathering was done mainly with Vallejo pigments and AK Interactive washes with a final brush over with various Tamiya makeup kits. The dust from under the skirts was done using fish tank filter wool with Vallejo pigments rubbed into it. Thanks for looking and I hope itís not too hard on the eyes.

Something a bit different. Gunpla is a bit on the nose for me at the moment so I thought I'd have a go at one of the ugliest kits in 40K, the Taurox. Picked it at a swap meet a month or so ago for a good price (thankfully  ;) ) and them went and spent about as much again on bitz  ::)

The wheels were some resin ones I picked cheap from a sale somewhere and most the extras came from some bloke on ebay that breaks up kits. It's not built to the rules as I don't play anymore so I decided to use as many weapons in the box as possible.

All hand painted with Tamiya mostly and Gunze for the figures of which I know suck so don't look at them too long and it'll be okay :-). The first pic is what it's supposed to look like and the last few are of the cabin before the lid went on. Hope it's not too hard on the eyes  :)

Plain old GP Thinners is all you need. You can get it in 1ltr or 5ltr containers. Diggers is the most common in hardware stores but any paint shop will have some brand of GP Thinners.

Nice collection  8)

You've got more patience than me. Only built the first two RG kits. They ended up in the bin. Horrible things that fell apart if a door slammed on the other side of the country  :(
