Title: Buying my first kit
Post by: Ascath on August 20, 2016, 03:05:41 PM
Hi all, im new to Gunpla and modelling, and want to buy my first kit soon. I saw something about a mid year anniversary campaign on the Gundam website. Do i still get the code if i buy online? If not, should i just buy locally from HobbyCo, whose prices may be a bit more expensive, so i can also get the code, or is it not worth it and i should just look for cheaper stores online? Thanks everyone :)

Depends on where you live. Most local stores that source their kits from Hobbyco will have the cards. You don't have to buy specifically from Hobbyco to get the cards. You won't get them from any OS online store.

At the end of the day you have to weigh up the odds of getting a prize as opposed to saving some money.

Thanks man. So i can only get the codes from local stores, not online? I live in Sydney if that helps.

Hobbyco is in the city in the Queen Victoria building across the road from Town Hall station,2 floors of hobby goodness awaits all who enter its hallowed ground.

Just wondering, aside from shipping costs, would the prices for hobbyco be the same on its online store as the physical store? or would it be more expensive/cheaper?

The same I'd say.

Same but you don't have shipping if you go get it
