Title: Kiwi on board
Post by: nzanglia on October 03, 2015, 05:59:39 AM
Hi,

My name is Stacy Hay but I get called Stace most of the time.

I'm 40 this year, YAY, and I've been building model cars since I was 11.  I got my first Gundam Kit back in the early 90's ( Zeta Version 1.0) before I had ever seen any gundam anime.

I 'live in Wellington, New Zealand.

I prefer to build out on the box painted kits and hate the decals (though I understand the need for younger builders) and would rather pay an extra on the kit price for waterslides.  Can't see why they don't if the can with ALL of their Star Wars Kits.

My primary reason for joining this Forum is because I'm currently working on an MG ZAKU II Minelayer but have lost a vital part in it's ankle.  Trying to post in the Junk Guild section but it won't let me at the moment (Until then please PM me if you think you might have the parts)

I'll start posting my WIP later today and carry on until I can get the replacement part from somewhere.

I look forward to looking around here and reading comments.

Stace.

Happy to be here.

I thought I was good at building gunpla, but after looking around at all of the custom work I'd say I'm only Average at best.

But it's all about enjoying the hobby no matter your abilities and skill level.

Don't sell yourself short its amazing how much skill one actually has when you push yourself. Just do what I do just plod along and hope for the best. Ive had plenty of failures in my time doing models of various forms but ive also had some decent successes as well. Don't compare yourself to any other just do what you feel is right. People always say you are always your own worst critic.
