CANNONS!! - Grunt MS GB
« on: March 14, 2011, 01:21:50 AM »

Couldn't decide on whethere to build the GM Cannon or the Zaku Cannon for this competition, so...I did both:

The GM is coming along VERY nicely. I just need to use some epoxy putty for internal filling and polyester putty for outside gaps.

The Zaku is a bit of a headache, though. I got stuck with the legs, since both the HG 08th Team MS-06J I'm using as the base of this kit and my HGUC Zaku II have legs too thick to simply 'wrap' the Zaku Cannon leg armor on. May need some further thinking through.

Bandai announces GM Cannon II HGUC.
(Looks at work half-done on GM Cannon)

True, but I was hoping to practice on revamping the old GM Cannon to HG standard before I tried using the unused Chobham armor parts from my Gundam NT-1, butchering my RX-77-D Mass Production Guncannon, and my still-unbuilt GM Quel (which was GOING to be a GM Custom until Bandai surprised me with the HGUC).

I swear, if an HGUC V2 Gundam turns up in the next 6 months (guess what else I'm planning but haven't started on?), don't be surprised to hear a hell-raising scream coming from Essendon....

Well, I'd Freak out if Reborns and the Braves make the cut for MG

For the HGUC Zaku, can't you use pla plates instead? Craft em to resemble the Leg armor of the Zaku cannon.

It's a suggestion.

I find the design between the two to be vastly different though, so your GM Cannon still should stand by itself and look bad ass :D
